Original, old family photographs are one of the best resources for researching everyday fashion history. They can tell such fascinating tales and sometimes throw up some surprises!
That's why we're collecting copies of people's family pictures to create a digital album of photos and memories to help us tell the story of vintage fashion from the 1920s to 1945. They can be from special occasions like weddings or parties, holidays, military or snaps of every day life, as long as they fit into our time frame we'd love to see them!
We already have lots of great photos to choose from but if you'd like to have your photos included in a digital album in our exhibition and see it posted online once the exhibition opens, then all you need to do is email your photos to us. Tell us about the people in the picture, or if you don't know them, tell us what you like about their clothing.
